I'm Baaaackkkk......

Hi everyone,
It's been fooorrrevvverrr, I know, but life got in the way along with this whole, "Why the hell am I doing this? No one gives a shit... I'm broke and can't afford the damn ingredients for this stupid recipe" You know LIFE.

Anyways, I got over that and while I'm still broke, I found a way to scrounge together the ingredients for this recipe. I will admit right now that I didn't create it, I just followed another blogger, Gal on a Mission, I found on pintrest and viola something happened in the kitchen. Honestly, I wanted to make something today and didn't have the brain capacity to think of something on my own or follow a super complicated anything.

Soooo, here is my (borrowed) Peanut Butter Blondie recipe:

Let's start with the ingredients:
 Pre-heated 350 degree oven
1 egg ( I put 2 in the pic, cuz it looked cool)
1 stick of melted unsalted butter (again 2 for cool points)
1 cup of unbleached all purpose flour
1/2 cup of light brown sugar (the white sugar was a mistake on my part, but it looks cool)
 1 tsp. of vanilla extract
 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
1/2 cup of all natural peanut butter
  •  (have you looked at the ingredients in "regular" peanut butter? molasses? hydrogenated oil? monoglycerides? sugar? WHHHHHYYYYY????...seriously for about the same price as walmart brand I got peanut butter that had only 2 ingredients...peanuts and salt)

Step 1:

Combine Light Brown Sugar and

 melted butter in a bowl...
  and mix...

 Step 2:
     Add the 1 egg
and 1 tsp. of Vanilla extract stir to combine some more...

Step 3:
Now, add your 1/2 cup of  natural peanut butter (it doesn't have to be organic or local or anything like that...just check the ingredients and make sure it's JUST peanuts and salt)

 Stir..stir...stir...

 Step 4:
Add the 1/4 tsp. of Kosher salt (use any salt you have available in your home, I just personally prefer kosher)
stir in and add flour. I did it in 2 parts, adding half stirring it in  and then adding the rest
Kinda like this...
The end result should look like this....

 Step 5:
Grease and line either an 8x8 brownie pan or this bad boy I borrowed from my mother (her mini loaf pan). Yep, individual blondies...just let that sink in....

As evenly as possible divide your batter into the 6 spots, if your using a normal pan just pour it in and spread it around as evenly as you can get it.
Step 6:
Put in a 350 degree oven
Bake for about 15-20 min for the loaf pan. The brownie pan is    about 20-25min.
Remove from oven, let cool, remove from pan and...

 ENJOY this peanut butter goodness*..
*Just to let everyone know my blondies did not come out remotely like the original recipe I borrowed from, for some reason they were drier and more cookie like than brownieish (is that a word? It is now) it might have something to do with the humidity of my home. They still tasted good though and that is ALL that matters...hmmm...maybe I'll just call them cookie bars...
